Le forme di allevamento della vite, presenti nella nostra realtà vitivinicola, sono di varie tipologie; la scelta più idonea dipende dai diversi fattori ambientali in cui si viene a realizzare un impianto, dipende dal vitigno e dal livello di meccanizzazione voluto. E’ anche vero che le differenze di forma sono espressione di tramandate tradizioni locali, laddove il viticoltore, da sempre, è portato a scegliere una specifica tipologia d’impianto in seguito alle condizioni ambientali del proprio territorio o a modificare le proprie scelte per mutate condizioni climatiche, al fine di ottenere sempre e comunque la massima produttività, senza rinunciare alla qualità. Lo scopo del sistema scelto è certamente quello di avere una superficie fogliare ben esposta ai raggi solari per una efficiente fotosintesi, uno sviluppo equilibrato dei germogli e dei grappoli, in un giusto rapporto tra elemento vegetale e produttività. La viticoltura del terzo millennio si esprime utilizzando delle forme di allevamento che massimizzino la produzione sia in termini di quantità sia in termini di qualità e questo obiettivo lo si può raggiungere solamente progettando l’impianto con i materiali necessari più idonei all’impianto stesso.


Forma d’allevamento adatta a uno sviluppo vegetale contenuto.

La pianta ha un’altezza di circa 80 cm, su di essa è inserito il capo a frutto, piegato orizzontalmente, con circa 8-9 gemme che renderà la produzione di quell’anno; dalla parte opposta, sempre sulla testa di salice, vi è uno sperone di 1-2 gemme che verrà utilizzato per le produzioni degli anni successivi.

Determinate condizioni ambientali, geografiche o vegetali condizioneranno la scelta del tipo di allevamento a Cordone Speronato: zone geografiche scarsamente fertili ( collinari); varietà con buona fertilità nelle prime gemme del tralcio, ma con scarso sviluppo vegetale; necessità di meccanizzare il più possibile la potatura. Questo sistema di allevamento vede un fusto che raggiunge il primo filo, da qui prosegue orizzontalmente lungo il filare in un unico cordone permanente sul quale si trovano gli speroni, ciascuno con 2-4 gemme, distanziati tra loro circa 15-20 cm.

Il Sylvoz è una forma d’allevamento utilizzata soprattutto nell’Italia centro-settentrionale, specialmente nel Veneto e, nella variante Casarsa, in Friuli Venezia Giulia. Adatto a un terreno particolarmente fertile, ma in un ambiente freddo-umido. Nel Sylvoz il tronco raggiunge il secondo filo e si prolunga in un cordone orizzontale permanente dove si trovano i capi a frutto, lunghi, curvati verso il basso e legati al primo filo. Nella variante friulana, definita Casarsa, non c’è il primo filo, così i tralci a frutto sono liberi. Necessita di un minore fabbisogno di manodopera e facilità nella meccanizzazione, anche su vigneti già in produzione da anni.

Il sistema di allevamento Cortina Semplice, particolarmente utilizzato all’estero, in Australia e negli USA, sta rapidamente sostituendo il Cordone Speronato anche da noi in Italia, specificatamente nelle regioni del Veneto, dell’Emilia-Romagna e della Toscana. E’ un sistema adatto a una meccanizzazione totale, sia per la vendemmia che per la potatura. What it is


WiForWine is an advanced monitoring system for vineyards comprising climate, terrain, plant and health risks. Thanks to a weather station installed in the field and the positioning of sensors measuring realtime environmental parameters, WiforWine elaborates the data and provides the necessary indicators for the evaluation of possible risk factors.

What it does

Within the vineyard the following will be installed:

- a wide range of sensors for capillary measurements providing the user with climate, terrain and plant indicators;

- a weather station sending data to the Web platform hosting the software for elaborating the information;

- cameras for visual control of the crops.

- Each user has the possibility to access a personal Web area where he can control the sensor-acquired data in real time, and be notified via text message/e-mail in case of critical situations.
